Mark K. Rakke, age 53, St. Cloud, MN died unexpectedly Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN, due to complications from a stroke.

Mark was born October 16, 1958 in Bemidji, MN to Ellwin and Nancy (Johnson) Rakke. Growing up in Bemidji he was an Eagle Scout, and a member of 1st Lutheran Church. Mark Graduated from Bemidji High School in 1977 and from Bemidji State University in 1981 with a History degree and Business minor. He was employed at Tjuans Mexican Restuarante in Bemidji, moving to Brainerd when the Restuarante expanded. Mark married Pamela D. Maccini on May 21, 1988 in Bemidji, MN. They moved to St. Cloud in 1988, and Mark was employed in Restaurant Equipment Sales, then managed Taco Bell and later, until his death, Mexican Village Too.

Mark was a commited family man who gave unselfiishly of his time and talents, and with his wife Pam, raised three fine sons. He participated in the affairs of the neighborhood where he lived, achieved success in the restaurant business, and understood the meaning of community.

Survivors included his wife, Pamela Rakke of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Zachary Rakke; Peter Rakke; and Isaac Rakke all of St. Cloud, MN; parents, Ellwin and Nancy Rakke of Bemidji, MN; two sisters, Kristin Rakke of Albertville, MN; and Beth (Denise Thornhill) Rakke of Salt Lake City, Utah.
